Weddings at Olowalu Plantation House are one of my favorite things ever!! This venue is to die for and in such high demand on Maui.
Teya and Will decided to leave the cold of the midwest and get married on Maui. Their wedding was the most relaxed wedding that I’ve ever been to! They didn’t fill the day with a ton of “must do’s”. The day was all about each other and their small group of family and friends.
Will’s sister is actually one of my favorite hair and makeup artists here on Maui! Amelia is a wizard at what she does. It was so special for Teya to have her future sister-in-law do her hair and makeup. The undone low bun has been one of my favorite bridal hair designs that I’ve seen to date.
All About Olowalu Plantation House Weddings
Oddly enough, Maui doesn’t have a ton of beachfront venues. Olowalu Plantation House is easily one of the best venues on Maui and my favorite beachfront wedding venue. If you’re wanting to book your Maui Destination Wedding at Olowalu Plantation House, I recommend booking it as soon as you can!! The dates book up quickly.
The venue is best known for its little pier (if you can even call it that). When you’re out on the pier and looking back at Maui, you’re instantly in awe at the West Maui Mountains. So many of my couples want a venue where they can be on the water and have incredible mountain views. I’m telling you, this is the only venue that gives you that.
The Flow of the Day
As I said earlier on, Teya and Will’s intimate Maui wedding was planned with slowness in mind. Nothing was rushed and they were present the entire day. These are my favorite type of weddings. After the ceremony, we headed into cocktail hour where Teya and Will got to be there for almost all of it. It’s so often that couples want to spend an hour on couples portraits and miss the cocktail hour. If you can, I highly highly recommend not missing cocktail hour!! Once the cocktail hour was ending, we took Teya and Will out for 15 minutes on the Olowalu Pier for couples portraits. We got SO many amazing images in such a short amount of time.
