Warren & Tricia are expecting their first baby! They decided to ditch Texas for a honeymoon on Maui! They spent their time on Maui between to of my favorite areas – Wailea & Hana.

Wailea is one of Maui’s two resort areas. The other being Kapalua. The resorts in Wailea are a bit more luxurious than the ones in Kapalua though. When I think of a romantic get-a-way, I always imagine staying in either Wailea or Hana.

For Warren & Tricia’s Maternity Photography Session, we decided to visit two location – one really green and lush and the other beachy.

We started the session at one of my favorite places on Maui, Iao Valley. From the moment we met up in person we felt like old friends. I always want it to feel this way when my couples and I meet up. It’s so so important for my couples to be themselves in front of me so that we can get the most authentic images.

We hiked down huge boulders to down into the valley with the mountains surrounding us. Tricia was amazing and didn’t let her bump slow her down at all. That’s exactly how I want to be whenever I’m pregnant! I love that she’s still going about her life and going on adventures (safely!!).

During the entire session, I just kept saying “OHHH MY GOSH THIS IS PERFECT!!!”. I can’t help it when I get so excited about the images we’re creating!! Warren & Tricia, thank you for not thinking I’m crazy!! haha

After Iao Valley, we drove 15-minutes down the road to the beach. It’s crazy how you can go from a lush green jungle to the beach in such a short drive. One thing that I love about photographing on the beach is that we can run around on the sand. When I shoot at cliffsides or on rocks, it’s trickier to move around so freely.

How cute are the last images with Warren & Tricia in their swimsuits?! I love swimsuit maternity photos so much.
